Frequently Asked Questions

How do I submit a resume?
While we accept general resumes, you'll increase your odds by submitting a resume in response to a specific job posting. However, you still are welcome to submit an electronic resume to our database. Please note that electronic submissions are preferred and will receive a more immediate consideration.

What happens once I submit my resume?
Regardless of how your resume is submitted, we'll enter it into a database that can be accessed by all of Bayer's hiring sites. When a position opens, we'll review all appropriate resumes and will contact those who best meet the requirements. We'll keep your information active for one year.

When will I hear back once I submit my resume?
When you submit your resume via bayerjobs.com, you'll receive a rapid response if you include an e-mail address. We'll acknowledge resumes submitted by fax or mail within two weeks of submission.

What does it mean if I don't hear back from you?
Bayer receives thousands of resumes each month, and we try to acknowledge receipt of each one. Please know that your resume is kept active in our database for one year, and we'll contact you should any appropriate positions open up.

How will I know the job is filled?
When a job is filled, the position will be removed from the Web site. We'll keep your resume active for one year and may consider you for future positions that meet your qualifications.

Should I submit my resume to the facility where I'd like to work?
No. The best way to be considered for employment is to submit your resume to us in response to a specific job posting on this Web site.

What type of educational background do you look for?
As a major corporation, we encourage and require a wide variety of educational backgrounds. Our needs vary from Ph.D. scientists to college and high school graduates. Check our job listing for current open positions and their educational requirements.

How can I find out what jobs are currently open?
We encourage you to visit the job listing page often since it's updated on a regular basis. If you don't see a job you like today, it may be posted there tomorrow.
